In this blog post, I decided to write a poem about sacrifices.
A few years ago, I wrote a poem about making sacrifices. I thought about all the things we sacrifice to develop ourselves, to help others, to make more money and to be successful. If the thing that we are working towards is important to us, then it is most certainly worth making the sacrifice to get to where we want to be.
We make sacrifices every day
We give up something
In order to get something in return
But what do we really gain
When we make all of these sacrifices?
We sacrifice our time
To work longer hours
To increase our pay
And at the same time
We sacrifice our health
We lose a lot of sleep
Working those extra hours
Just to make ends meat
We sacrifice our money
To give to the church
Or we give it to charity.
We sacrifice ourselves
To make time for our families
But is it really worth it
To make all of these sacrifices?
Yes, it is worth it
The sacrifices we make
Take us one step closer
To where we want to be
For us to succeed
And make our dreams come true
Sacrifices must be made
In all that we do.
